Box in the mail

We got a box in the mail this morning. Our Christmas present books finally arrived. The students were so excited to read their book for Daily 5 today.  Be sure to ask you child to show you their new book. They made some great choices!

Valentine's bags

Today we decorated Valentine's bags and they are all ready to go for our Valentines and our party on Friday.

Happy 101 day of school

Last Friday we had some fun and celebrated that we have been in school 101 days. We decorated ourselves like little dalmatians. We pretended what we would do if we had 101 doggie dollars.
We used this cool money website that you can add any picture to it and make lots of different kind of money. http://www.festisite.com/money/ 

Students took pictures of themselves in their doggie ears and made doggie money then blogged about how they would spend their doggie dollars.

Primary Blogging Community Group 2

Welcome Mrs. Zacky's Class, Mr. Wideen's Class,  and Mrs. McGillen's Class to our Second Group of the Primary blogging project. We have been having all sorts of delay days and snow days here and have only had one normal week back to school since Christmas. Because of that we are a little behind in getting to our class blog. We hope you have been enjoying learning about what we do in our Second Grade Classroom. Hope you can Check out the video if you haven't had a chance to do that already.

We went on a field trip to the Nutcracker! We got to go behind the scenes and meet some of the actors in the show. They told us about the dance, costumes, and shoes. We loved getting all dressed up and going to the ballet.
